Will I be updated on my sponsored family's progress?

You will receive yearly updates of the progress of the family you sponsor. The updates will inform you of the specific ways in which your gifts are helping the family. We will send to you- a family photograph, a report on the performance of children at school and their wellbeing in general and the impact of family sponsorship in their community.

How long will my sponsorship last?

VOCORI’s mission is to relief the suffering of the poor, therefore as the dignity of a family and their community is restored which is feasible through issues like being self-reliant, we may move to another community.

This implies that your sponsorship may last several months or many years. When VOCORI takes on a new community as a partner in restoring their dignity, you will be given the opportunity to be the channel of restoration to a different family by sponsoring them.

Child sponsorship may last till a child not only finishes schooling, but also trains or learns a skill. However, the circumstances of a sponsor may change and thereby is free to discontinue the sponsorship program, and VOCORI will look out for other sponsors.
